Half Sun
Metamorphosis
Half Sun was created live during Metamorphosis, a Resonance Performances set co-led and curated by Leyla Ustunkaya since 2017. The multidisciplinary piece explores the connection between improvised jazz, poetry, and visual art.
In collaboration with spoken word artist Sean Rivers, Leyla painted directly onto a translucent half-circle plexiglass, responding intuitively to sound and voice. The work captures a layered, emotional dialogue between movement, rhythm, and human presence.
