Red Cage- Decay

Red Cage was first created as a papier-mâché and mesh sculpture for Resonance Performances, a multidisciplinary series I co-lead exploring nature, transformation, and sustainability through live art. It served as a prop in improvisational performances blending sound, movement, and visual art.
In 2024, the piece was reimagined as a glazed ceramic sculpture, hand-built in Bodrum using shamot clay. Inspired by fungal forms, its open lattice structure now functions as a sculptural light object, casting intricate geometric shadows that reveal new dimensions of the work. Red Cage merges performance, functional design, and organic inspiration into one cohesive piece.
